Anthropic researchers are openly warning that the AI they’re building could kill humanity.

The disturbing part isn’t the prediction. It's that every time Anthropic wants to draw attention to its platform, it ramps up fear-based marketing like this.

And yet they’re still racing to build more powerful AI anyway.

That sounds suspicious.

The problem is the race itself. The problem is that it's quite possible that Anthropic would like the government to create the type of regulation that throttles their competition, so they can race ahead.

A senior Anthropic safety researcher says he believes there’s a greater than 10% chance AI could “kill all humans” within the next decade.

His comments came after researcher Jacob Coxon left Anthropic, accusing leading AI labs of racing toward self-improving superintelligence despite knowing they may not be able to control it.
