🔥 Anthropic’s CEO says the AI backlash isn’t really about AI. It’s about trust.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei says growing public resistance to AI is “fundamentally a crisis of trust,” arguing that people increasingly distrust corporations, governments, and the tech industry rather than simply fearing the technology itself.

And that may be a much harder problem for Silicon Valley to fix than building better models.

Here’s the real story:

Amodei admits AI companies haven’t yet delivered enough of the enormous benefits they’ve promised.

That matters.

AI companies can build smarter models, cheaper agents, and enormous data centers, but public adoption ultimately depends on people believing the companies building this technology are working in their interests.

The next big AI challenge may not be intelligence.

It may be earning trust.
