Google Playground is turning game development into a conversation.
Google is experimenting with Playground, an AI-powered platform that lets people create playable games using natural-language prompts instead of traditional coding.
The bigger move is Unity Spark, a Google–Unity collaboration expected later this year that aims to combine AI generation with Unity’s full game-development engine, including higher-fidelity 3D experiences.
Google also wants the games to become social: creations can be shared, with features such as profiles, leaderboards, and matchmaking.
The interesting part: Google isn’t just using AI to make games. It’s experimenting with AI to make anyone a game creator.
