The way to create realistic AI images isn't just about describing what's in the image, it's about describing how the image exists in the real world.
The look and feel, the emotional cues, the details in the scene.
The problem with most “realistic” AI images:
A lot of AI images still fail in the exact same way.
They may be sharp, beautiful or even look impressive at first glance.
But they don't feel real.
Instead, they have that familiar AI look: plastic skin, overly perfect lighting, frozen expressions, strange textures, overly polished surfaces, and a kind of animated smoothness that instantly gives the image away.
It's because the prompt is missing the details that make a scene feel photographed instead of generated.

🔥 What I create
I'm not just prompting for a subject or scene.
I'm prompting for photographic believability.
That means I am thinking about things like:

A realistic image usually succeeds because several small things are working together, not because one magic phrase fixed everything.
🔥 I ask for real skin, not “perfect” skin
This is a huge one.
If you want realism, stop accidentally asking for beauty-ad perfection unless that's specifically the goal.

The more polished and flawless the skin becomes, the more likely the image is to drift into that waxy, synthetic, almost 3D-rendered look. Realism cooks.

🔥 I describe the capture, not just the image
This is one of the biggest differences in my prompts.
Most people describe the final image like they are ordering a picture off a menu. They describe the subject, the outfit, maybe the background, and then add words like “photorealistic” or “ultra realistic.”
That's not enough.
I describe the image as if it were actually captured by a camera in a real situation.
That means I include things like:

âžś real-world perspective

🔥 I define the lighting source and behavior
Lighting is one of the fastest giveaways in AI imagery.
If the light is too perfect, too glossy, too even, or too cinematic without motivation, the image immediately feels fake.
So instead of just saying “beautiful lighting,” I usually define where the light is coming from and how it is behaving.
