The browser Is dead, long live the AI Agent.

OpenAI’s building one. Perplexity just launched Comet. Dia is already blurring the lines.

We’re watching the browser evolve from a tool you click through into an agent that thinks for you. We won’t browse anymore. We’ll ask, and it will do what we ask of it. Summarizing. Deciding. Acting.

This could finally make the internet usable again. No more pop-ups, SEO spam, or digging through 12 tabs for one answer.

Still, there are potential pitfalls: when the agent picks what you see, you better ask who’s training it. And what agenda that model might carry.

This is more than UI innovation. It's the rise of a new interface layer where AI lives natively: interpreting, navigating, and filtering the web on your behalf.

The winners won’t be the ones with faster tabs. They’ll be the ones who own the default AI user experience.

Prime players right now are Perplexity with Comet, the rumored browser that’s coming from OpenAI with the launch of ChatGPT 5, Google with their AI Overviews and Gemini, as well as Anthropic.

Then there’s the one’s we don’t know about yet. The second half of 2025 is shaping up to be very exciting for AI.
