Are we losing the plot with AI?

Are we losing the plot with AI? There’s a growing gap between how powerful AI is becoming, and how little we understand it.

OpenAI, Google DeepMind, and Anthropic just issued a rare unified warning: as large models get more complex, we’re losing visibility into how they actually think.

Interpretability used to be an academic side quest. Now it’s a core safety issue. If we can’t explain why a model made a decision, how can we trust it to operate in high-stakes environments like finance, defense, or health?

This isn’t about transparency theater. This is about real accountability. When AI makes the leap from autocomplete to autonomous agent, the stakes change. The black box doesn’t just raise eyebrows, it raises risk.

The irony is that some of the smartest models on earth are now too smart for us to decode. Without progress in interpretability, we’re essentially handing over power to something we built… but can’t fully audit.

This moment is a wake-up call for anyone building or deploying AI systems:

• Are your models not just accurate, but explainable?

• Do your teams have the tools to trace decision logic?

• Are we prioritizing why something works as much as how well it works?

Understanding the system has to scale with the system. If it doesn’t, we’re not innovating, we’re guessing.

🔥 How to Use AI in 2026 Without Losing Your Voice

AI is no longer a creative edge. It’s baseline infrastructure. The difference in 2026 isn’t who uses AI. it’s who uses it with intention. The goal isn’t automation, it’s amplification of judgment. Fol
